New Appointments in Ghana
All change at OMA in Ghana. A restructuring of the company has seen the appointment of two Country Managers and a General Manager to oversee the two key segments of the business.
Rebecca Owusu-Asamoah joins us as Country Manager for OMA Ghana and will head up the ship agency/energy sector of the business in Ghana, based at the Tema office.
Rebecca has 14+ years of experience in the shipping industry, starting her career with Maersk Line and Damco. Rebecca worked at OMA Ghana from 2016 before transferring to Hapag-Lloyd where most recently she was based in Mauritius setting up the Quality Service Centre team for West Africa amongst other achievements.
Samir Sheth joins us as Country Manager for OMA Logistics Ghana and will head up the logistics sector of the business in Ghana, also based in the Tema office.
Samir has held senior positions with top five companies in carrier and freight forwarding and most recently was Sales Director for South Africa, East Africa, and North East Africa with Hapag-Lloyd.
Albert Kabanelah is promoted to General Manager for OMA Logistics Ghana. Albert joined OMA in 2010 as Commercial Manager and until recently held the position of Business Development Manager for OMA Logistics. Albert has shown tremendous dedication to growing the logistics business with his in-depth knowledge of the local Ghana market.
Current country manager Francesco Leuzzi moves on to new professional adventures at the beginning of February after steering the ship very successfully for the last eight years. All at OMA Group wish him the very best in his new venture.
