Coup update – Burkina Faso

Jan 25th update: an announcement on national TV in Burkina Faso confirmed that from today:
(1) Air travel is restored;
(2) Movement of humanitarian trucks are allowed;
(3) Movement of essential goods is allowed;
(4) Trucks carrying equipment pertinent to security personnel are allowed.

Jan 24th: Reuters reported today that the suspected coup in Burkina Faso has resulted in President Roch Kabore being detained at a military camp by mutinying soldiers following heavy gunfire around his residence on Sunday night in the capital Ouagadougou.
We are monitoring the situation closely and in the meantime our team in Ougadougou will work from home.
