Update 25th March 2020

  • There is now a night-time curfew in the Ivory Coast (2100hrs – 0500hrs)
  • Other than for dedicated freighter aircraft, all international airlines have suspended services to/from Abidjan.
  • No crew changes are possible until further notice.

Update 19th March 2020

  • Vessels coming from affected countries must be inspected at outer anchorage by National Sanitary Institute before contact with shore or people from shore;
  • No shore passes or pier or city access for vessel crew already in the port or calling the CIABJ port;
  • People coming from countries with more than 100 cases of COVID-19 are not authorised in the Ivory Coast;
  • From the 20th March all flights, passengers coming directly or transiting by a country with more than 100 cases of COVID-19 will not have access to Ivory Coast;
  • Ivorian citizens and people with an Ivorian resident visa arriving from a country with more than 100 cases will be put into quarantine for 14 days; 
  • All people coming from the airport, port or the border detected as suspect will be placed into quarantine for 14 days

Update 20th February 2020

As from January 29, 2020, before berthing, any vessels calling at Abidjan and San Pedro ports from countries affected by Coronovirus (Covid-19) will be subject to sanitary controls at anchorage by the department of the National Institute of Public Hygiene (INHP).

Visitors arriving by air or by sea from affected areas must complete two weeks of observed quarantine on arrival.
